About Us

The purpose of the Memory Project is to preserve the history of Stanislaus County by collecting, digitizing, and preserving photos, videos, audio, documents, and objects of historical significance. We hope it will be a useful online resource for students, researchers, historians, and the general public.

We decided to initiate the Memory Project by collecting materials related to Graffiti, cruising, and local car culture. In the future, we will add materials related to other aspects of the County’s history.

Please contact the Library if you wish to contribute to the Memory Project or have an idea for a future collection.
